January's Featured Model Railroad - Bruce Klawitter

Bruce Klawitter tells us about his HO layout.
The project took about one year.  It occupied all of my "alone" time while my wife was battling cancer.  I am pretty sure it is an NEC DCC system that operates it.  I believe all the 27 buildings are lit with LED strip lights that I got from Joe.  Only a small number have interiors and most of those are cardboard glued just inside the front windows.
The most important part of the layout I try to show is the little vignettes that portray scenes that you would find.  Detail is very important to me and having everything in scale.  The actual table/base with the exception of the 2" foam deck was all built out of scraps of lumber from the job sites here in Sun River.
